About me

Mom to two children in Tosa schools and one graduate.
School Board President
Research Faculty, School of Nursing, UW-Milwaukee.
Founding member and leader of Tosa Together.
Board member of Friends of Hartung Park.
PTA member at my children's schools: Whitman, and West.
Experience navigating special education supports.
Co-writer on the $48K grant Wauwatosa School District was awarded for Restorative Justice initiatives.
Whitman Middle School principal hiring committee (2022).
Hobbies: gardening, piano, yoga, hiking, volunteering for the food pantry, and watching our kids play sports.

About my family

My husband Holger has been a research scientist at UW Milwaukee since 1998. He enjoys hiking, sailing, Lego modeling, and watching soccer.

My son, Thomas (19) is 2024 graduate of Tosa West HS. He is a sophmore at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities where he is studying Kinesiology.

My son Jonathan (16) is in 1th grade at Tosa West HS. He is on the varsity soccer team, plays club soccer for the Bavarians, and enjoys playing his drum set and video games. He wants to travel alot internationally and study engineering or physics.

My daughter Taveanna (12) is in 7th grade at Whitman Middle School, where she is in many clubs including BSU, Brown Girl Brilliance and Best Buddies. She plays the violin and dances with Signature Dance Co.

As a family, we are involved in the community: Outpost members, Tosa Pool members, and volunteers at the Hartung Park Farmers Market.
